ISCA has been established since 2008 on a semi-formal basis and was very much a vehicle to facilitate the distribution and dissemination of articles of interest and learning for Irish Coaches.
It has also provided domestic coaches with ongoing links for mentoring and peer support since 2008.
Over the years we have had lots of support from various partners & individuals and in 2023, supported by SwimKit.ie a Coach Appreciation day was delivered in Dublin with 90+ Coaches in attendance.
The appetite for knowledge and shared learning was evident and as such, a formal structure was put together and a revised constitution drafted in April 2024. This new structure was voted on by those who attended the inaugural AGM of I.S.C.A. at the Coaches Conference in UCD in Sept 2024. Some 103 delegates were signed up and interested in listening to speakers from UK, USA & IRL.
